Renew your Kansas Medicaid benefits
Keep your coverage. Be sure to renew your Kansas Medicaid benefits every 12 months.
Ready to renew?
It’s quick and easy. Follow these steps to renew your benefits:
1. Check your mailbox
You’ll get a renewal letter from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) telling you it’s time to renew.
2. Fill out your renewal form
Complete the entire renewal form and gather any documents requested. You may also complete your renewal form online.
3. Send it in
You can use any of these methods to send in your renewal materials:
- Mail all completed paperwork back to the address on your renewal form.
- Submit your renewal online.
Have you moved?
If you’ve moved this past year, the state needs to know your new address. You can change your address, email, or phone number online. You can also update your contact information by visiting a local eligibility office or by calling 800-792-4884 or online at kancare.ks.gov. They can help answer any questions about your renewal.
Still have questions about renewing?

What if you lose your coverage?
You can still reapply for Medicaid. If you apply within 60 days of the date you lost coverage and you’re still eligible, you’ll return to Healthy Blue. Call 800-792-4884 (TTY 711) or visit kancare.ks.gov to get started.
