Healthy Blue facilitates integrated physical and behavioral health services as a vital part of healthcare.

Integrated health care

Our mission is to address the physical and behavioral health care of members by offering a wide range of targeted interventions, education, and enhanced access to care to ensure improved outcomes and quality of life for members.

We work collaboratively with hospitals, group practices, independent behavioral health care providers, community, government agencies, human service districts, and other resources. This enables Healthy Blue to successfully meet the needs of members with mental health and substance use disorders, as well as those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Behavioral health providers can be accessed directly by Healthy Blue members. Members do not have to contact Healthy Blue for a referral.

Healthy Blue accepts prior authorization requests through Availity or, if you prefer paper submissions, via phone or fax.

Training opportunities for behavioral health providers

Sign up with Psych Hub, our new training contractor for our behavioral health providers. You will have access to Psych Hub’s catalog of educational podcasts, videos, and other accredited content. You will also have the opportunity to receive free continuing education units, a requirement for most professional licenses.
